Some say you shouldn’t use gel on the oily hair roots. Others say that gel works best with oily hair?
So should I wash my hair with water or shampoo before applying gel for best results? I have the feeling that using shampoo is the answer because the working of cations of the gel and anions of the hair could be interrupted by the oil. Because oily hair and alcohol in gel should be immiscible resulting in the polymer not able to reach the hair?
I agree that oil + gel results in a gross look. It won’t help to get the right volume either. The hairspray could work well, but when going for long spiked hair hairspray won’t work well I think. In combination with gel, the hairspray could work to fixate the applied gel, also drying the gel is another option.

So, basically all people that have curly hair always find a way to stop the frizz. But there are some products are very oily like John Frieda. Sometime it works really well, but at the same time its like oily to your hair. I would like something good not oily to use for my frizziness. Perms dry and damage your hair so waht good hair product will help me as to that and also help my frizzes. Thanks=)

The only oily skin treatment I know is lemon juice extract. For hair, rinse conditioner out all the way.
